My Students

I want to make math come alive to my students! AP Statistics is the ultimate interdisciplinary class with many opportunities to look at the content in different ways- especially through newspaper articles and graphs found in other publications.

My students are highly motivated seniors who are college-bound and ready for the challenge of AP Statistics.

I want to make sure I am honoring their attention by giving them multiple entry points to the content. They deserve to be celebrated- and one way of doing that is through projecting their work by using a document projector.

My Project

With a document projector, I will be able to show newspaper articles, student work, and model problem solving in real time without turning my back to the students. The document projector is a camera that takes video of a document and connects with a projector, which I have access to at my school. Students will respond well to the youtube-like images that appear on the whiteboard that is often covered by black expo marker.

My students need a document projector.

I believe that a document projector will help me communicate the math to them and help them communicate their work to the rest of the class instantly and, in forty three minutes, instant is what you need!
