My Project

Next year I will have over 140 eager, insightful, and voracious readers who will need tools to continue growing in their critical thinking and reading response skills as they prepare for the all-important AP Literature & Composition exam.

With exciting new novel titles for advanced readers and study supplies for literature circle discussions and thematic tracking techniques, this project is sure to make my incoming seniors true "AP All-Stars."

I have had many of these incoming seniors when they were sophomores; we were able to ignite a passion for reading in so many of them, and I'd love to further their capabilities with newer, well-reviewed titles. Additionally, I've found a tried-and-true method for preparing them for the open-ended questions on the AP exam; the sentence strips, post it notes, and other office supplies are instrumental in helping them to prepare and retain information on the "meaning of the work as a whole" for the books that they read in my class.
