My Project

This year we’ll be introducing a new curriculum, AP African American Studies. I’m excited, the students are excited! Classes are super full and being able to have some extra resources such as binders, markers, cleaning supplies, a mobile cart and a working laptop to connect to the smart board will make this year a special one.

I plan to make the class very interactive and need a working laptop to connect to the smart board to show presentations and videos seamlessly.

The binders will hold all of their handouts and the Mobil cart will hold their binders.

The cleaning supplies will ensure everyone’s safety in the room.

My goal for this year is to teach this pilot curriculum to the best of my abilities and grow students knowledge on what African American Studies really is. I would like to address and teach all the misconceptions that many people, not just students, have about African American History. Hopefully by the end of the year, I will have a class that not only students are proud to take but is the talk of the town!
