My students' frustration levels are very high and they need materials that allow them to understand math concepts in a fun and easy way.
My students are emotionally challenged and require multiple supports and incentives.
Learning can be a struggle for them and using file folder games, hands-on activities and visuals supports provides a fun way to learn. My school is a Title I school and we have students from all walks of life. It is a great place to teach and learn.
My Project
The math game libraries and math chart cards I am requesting will allow my students to experience an interactive fun way to learn new math concepts. The math folder games can be used in a group or individually allowing my students to learn even when they need to work by themselves. The math vocabulary chart gives them an interactive learning tool to build their grade level vocabulary. The graphing paper allows them to visualize and create graphs of data about which they are learning. The decimal, fraction, number sense, and algebraic thinking folder games give each student a way to work independently and in a group while learning and practicing new math skills.
My students will enjoy learning new math skills while also using the appropriate social skills needed when working in a group.
It will improve the frustration levels in my classroom because the materials are interactive and fun.
