My Project

I love that I have a diverse group of learners. My students are in the 2nd and 3rd grade. Their reading ability varies from Pre-K to 3rd grade. In my competency-based classroom, I have created a beautiful reading area with a chaise lounge, a big rug and comfy chairs. However, what the area lacks is enough beginners books for my low skill reading students. As many of us know, reading books makes better readers.

I want to create a library for all learners with Dr Seuss books, word family readers, and more.

Presently, my students read for 20 minutes daily in the classroom. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get books donated for students that have various reading needs. This project will be an opportunity to do that with your help.
