Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

NYC schools have recently been receiving with newly arrived immigrant students at a higher number. A new country, new language, new friends plus the experiences had during a migration journey are enough variables to cause high levels of anxiety. Not knowing how to manage anxiety will impact a child's learning. Help us set kids off for success by donating to an anxiety management counseling group tailored to their needs.

This short-term counseling group will use art/music therapy to learn emotions regulation and soothing strategies.

In every session, students will work towards creating a personalized booklet and kit that they can continue using at home.
