My Project

Each year our school hosts what we call a "School Wide Career Day" where children from our classroom and all over our school experience a day where they can learn more about different careers. Because we are a school located in an urban city, there are not much exposer to many unusual careers. I like to bring new and exciting experiences that we maybe familiar with within our city by thinking of careers based on what we are studying in the classroom. This month we are studying "Buildings"! So I thought what a cool way to explore a career related to "building" by creating a hands-on construction themed career station. Children from our classroom and all over our school will explore the different careers in construction. The playhouse, excavator, and other materials submitted will give a real life experience as contractors, engineers, plumbers, electricians and professional house painter.
