This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, we are happy to celebrate our sixth year of Anime Club. Anime Club was founded by Ms. Sepulveda in 2017 and has now partnered with Ms. Collins in an effort to expand and welcome more students. In the years of Anime Club, DonorsChoose has helped us fund trips to AnimeNYC, a convention held annually at the Javitz Center. Now, we are looking for help again as we try to foster the artistic side of our club. Our members have expressed an increased interest in learning how to draw original anime characters that they hope to use to craft their own mangas. The first volume of the Guidebook will help kickstart that dream for out students! We will be eternally grateful to be able to provide this for our club.
