This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are gearing up for another busy and learning-packed school year in first grade! This will be my fourth year teaching first grade. Unfortunately, we are very limited in the financial support and funding we receive for the whole school year.

With this project, I hope to organize and decorate my class for another group of first graders.

My classes have always tended to run large (upwards of 25 students). As a result, I have found it imperative to have systems of organization. The items I would like to purchase through this project would allow me to redo my classroom walls and organize my bulky lapdesks. It will also cover popsicle sticks and clothespins that I label with student names for a myriad of classroom procedures and activities.

It is always my goal to try and create spaces that are warm, welcoming, and accessible for all students. This project would allow me to improve my organizational systems for my busy class and refresh my walls and decor.
