Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are always excited to start a new art project! Many of them do not have access to art supplies at home, so my classroom is the only place they have that offers them the opportunity to create art using all different materials. Despite their personal hardships, they come to class excited to see what they will create! I love when they tell me that they wish they could come to art every day and that they love my projects! They become very excited when they are given a choice to choose multiple materials, and painting is everyone’s favorite! They are amazing artists with very creative ideas and imaginations!

My Project

The lightboxes and USB charger blocks will allow my students to transfer images from their sketchbooks onto other materials. This will be another useful art technique that I can introduce to my students. It will highlight the multiple ways a lightbox can be used to enhance and transfer their creative ideas.

The printer ink will be used in the printer that I received from a generous DonorsChoose donor!

This will allow me to print reference pictures in color or black and white for my students to use in their artwork!
