My Students

Dramatic play permits children to fit the reality of the world into their own interests and knowledge. One of the purest forms of symbolic thought available to young children, dramatic play contributes strongly to the intellectual development of children (Piaget, 1962). Symbolic play is a necessary

My sweet preschoolers are from a lower socio-economic areas in Southern California.

Coming to school is something that they look forward to every day. School is a safe environment where they know they will receive a hot meal, be kept safe, and be able to learn and play with their peers.

My Project

The puppet theater, puppets, and sing along CD will just add another layer of dramatic play to our classroom centers. When they see the theater and all the puppets I know they will be drawn immediately to it. It will give them an opportunity to express themselves through play.

By helping me fund this project for my preschoolers you are giving them an amazing opportunity to express themselves though dramatic play.

This will be a center that will enrich their development immensely.
