My Project

My students in second grade really love having a table full of supplies they can choose from to do their projects. It is really mind-easing to find everything you need, every color you desire and plenty of materials to use. Markers are their favorite: you can write, color and even paint with them.

Second graders also need incentives to do their work the best way they can.

I use a ticket reward system that works really well, but I have to have enough tickets to hand out every day when they do well. They can trade those tickets for toys in the prize box. Tokens also help on classroom rewards, such as parties or extra recess time.

Organizing all of that and making the classroom visually attractive and word wall worthy is also one of my goals for this next school year.
