My Project

My students have fallen in love with social studies this year. Many of them only had one day a week of social studies in elementary school compared to every day in middle school. They look forward to coming to my class every day and can't wait to do the next project. The materials I am requesting will help provide students with the art supplies to re-create artifacts from ancient Athens and Sparta. We will be doing a pop-up museum that celebrates the various cultures of these two iconic ancient cities. Students can paint scenes, recreate the Olympics games, design Spartan warrior armor and weapons, showcase Athenian democracy, and much more.
