Ancient Chinese Writing and Silk Road

Help me give my students materials for a project on ancient China. Students will explore writing the Chinese language, and experience what it was like to trade on the Silk Road using the sharpies and brush markers.

My Project

My students love to explore different cultures from ancient history. I try to do as many projects with them as possible. I have a variety of learners in my classroom.

Whenever I can, I like to incorporate projects that are hands on to give my students different learning opportunities.

I want my students to understand what it was like for people that lived in the past. My students thrive with interactive activities in the classroom.

I’m excited to do this project with my students because it will give them an idea of what it is like to write in the Chinese language compared to the English alphabet. The brush markers will help them write more precisely. The sharpies are for a project we will do on the Silk Road.
