Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title I-funded elementary school dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to be respectful, responsible, and safe every day.

To promote these behaviors, we use PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and reward students with class points or Owl Feathers, which they can redeem at our school store, the Owl Hut.

The excitement and pride our students feel when earning and spending their points have been incredible to witness!

As we continue this initiative, we are looking to restock the Owl Hut with engaging rewards—small toys, fun school supplies, stickers, fidget items, experiences and other exciting prizes that motivate students and build a strong sense of community.
