Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten is awesome! My students are very eager to learn more and more every day. They are extremely curious and they love to read and engage in Math! I am a Kindergarten, bilingual teacher at a school where most of our students are struggling readers and are one or more years below grade level in reading.

It is my number one priority to get my students reading on grade level, or above and to give them a strong Math foundation so that they are well prepared for first grade.

I am at a low socioeconomic school where many of our students have tremendous learning gaps. Many of our students have difficult home lives, so it is extremely important to provide them with a safe, caring, and positive learning environment.

My Project

I would love to teach my students to be more organized and to keep their materials safe and In good condition. The chair sacks would give us a lot of storage that is very much needed due to the lack of furniture in the classroom. They would learn organization and time management skills that would be essential to maximizing instructional time. The timer would be a great tool to teach students how to put away materials in a timely manner. These materials would keep our classroom, organized and the kids would love to be in charge of keeping their personal space nice!
