My Students

Our school is located just north of the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. It has a long and mixed history in the city. Once a premier academic school, our students now come from across the city to try and overcome the institutional challenges that face them. Under our new leadership, our test scores have improved and school spirit has returned. And now to infuse fresh energy into our school we are launching the all new FAA.

Starting August 27th, we will be teaching inner city students how to become Pilots, Airplane Mechanics, Drone Specialists, and Air Traffic Controllers.

By October, we hope to have the first students up in the air. With your help, we want to get three ring binders and mailboxes to store them for our freshman students. While small, it is often difficult for our students to get basic supplies, so your contribution is really needed! You can help us teach these kids the academic and organizational skills they need to grow themselves and their community.

My Project

Did you know many high needs schools don't even have lockers? Coming from a high needs school, our students often lack the underlying academic and organizational habits that many others take for granted. This is compounded by a lack of fundamental resources, like cardboard mailboxes and three ring binders.

With these basics our students will have the tools to unlock their gifts and achieve their true potential.

Organization is the key to being an effective and successful person. Since our students come from lower income neighborhoods all across the city, it is extra important to establish a culture of organization and personal responsibility right from the start. From this ground work, freshman can cement good habits to serve them for rest of their lives!
