My Project
I teach 24 bright and beautiful second graders in a high-needs area of New York. My students and I have been working intensively to get to grade level proficiency in reading. We set realistic reading goals and are working to make at least one year's growth. They have a goal-setting mindset.
By providing my students with the resources they need to learn and thrive, they will feel more confident and secure in their learning experience.
With the proper materials, my students will be prepared to learn! You can give these students the tools they need to learn and the opportunity to grow as individuals by increasing their confidence. Help me create a learning environment where all students have access to the supplies they need.
These storage bins will last multiple years creating an organized and sustainable classroom environment in my second grade classroom. The small bins will be used to organize their math games to decrease set up time and increase math fluency skills. The book bins will be used to replace cheap bins that have to be replaced each year because of wear and tear from a love of reading. Finally, the shoe pocket organizers will be used to help students organize their tech supplies (headphones, etc) to ensure they will have these materials for the entire year.
