Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This school year my classroom will have all cooperative tables and no individual desks. This change in structure will have so many benefits for my students, but also requires different storage needs and a different way of organizing.

These materials will maximize time teaching and learning for both the students and me, which will have very positive impacts on student success.

The time needed for distributing materials will be drastically reduced because I will be able to distribute materials to tables in these storage bins instead of individual students. The students will also have a specific space to store their materials so they don't have to spend critical learning time searching instead of working. When materials are organized, students can focus on learning and be more productive.
