Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a professional I want to ensure all my students are learning in a clean, organized, and safe learning environment. I am seeking out for help to ask for support with funding some organizational items to ensure all my students materials are staying safe, clean, and organized. I have purchased many items on my own in the past and have seen the positive outcome with students learning when materials have a designated spot. However, I can no longer keep purchasing these items on my own.

I teach in an inner-city and low-income school setting, and the funding for materials is minimal; Therefore, I have many students that come from different situations and homelifes.

My main goal as an educator is for all my students to feel safe when coming to school and being in my classroom. I have found when providing students with an organized classroom I am not only building a safe learning environment but I am also teaching responsibility. Students are learning how to handle, manage, and clean up materials the proper way. They are developing an understanding in the importance of taking care of materials and how to treat items when they don't belong to them.

With providing these items to my classroom I will also be able to continue to differentiate students instruction, store and continue to reuse materials each year, and continue to build awareness of how to handle/manage classroom materials the proper way. Please considering donating and funding this project because I promise it will be used daily in our classroom!

Much Appreciated,

Miss K
