Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are growing and thriving; however, due to some classroom needs, I feel that there are several things that would make the classroom a more organized, efficient place. Ensuring that the kids have stability and structure will aid in their learning and enable them to make the most of their daily instructional time.

My goal is to further organize my classroom and continue creating the kind of environment that I believe my students need in order to maximize learning.

Having bookshelves will enable them to access my lending library more quickly and efficiently. Having a pencil sharpener will also allow me to use procedures and jobs adequately so that they do not have to leave the room to sharpen pencils. Other items like chairs and headphones allow flexible seating and would be used daily to complete work comfortably and without disrupting classmates.

My students are incredibly capable and are ready learners. They just need more structure, better organization, and to have their needs met so that they come in and feel like they are in their "learning home."
