This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Watching seasons change, the rotation of the Earth, or animals in their habitat... These are all things kids can visually see on an iPad mini.

I have 24 students in my class.

14 of them are English language learners and the majority are on free or reduced lunch. My students are from a Title One school. Many of them come from economically disadvantaged circumstances. Even though they face economic challenges, they come to school each day eager to learn new things.

My Project

An iPad Mini for our classroom would help enhance our math and science lessons. They would rather learn from an iPad than listen to me talk!! The apps will provide extra visuals with virtual lessons, videos and games. For example, one of the apps will show my class how the seasons change by focusing on one tree and the change it goes through. Most of my students do not have any type of tablet at home. This iPad mini will help keep them up to date with technology. They will learn how to navigate the programs and apps on an iPad. They will also be able to practice their reading and comprehension skills.

Thank you in advance for helping me keep my students current and giving them the advantages that kids in other districts have.

It is very important to expose kids of all ages to technology. They would rather learn from a video or app, than hear me talk!!
