My Students

My students are from the Intermediate Autism Class. With 3 sets of curriculum in one class, I try my best to provide activities that will cater to all levels in one setting. I want to be able to give them the best of me while they are learning from home.

My students love hands-on, active, engaging projects, and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!

Curious, enthusiastic, and creative, my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. With distance learning I don't want them to lose this!

It is important to remember that learning disabled students are not students who are incapacitated or unable to learn; rather, they need differentiated instruction tailored to their distinctive learning abilities.

I want to give them the best education I can give and help them to be successful in their lives and in their future.

My Project

With an iPad and additional equipment, I will be able to provide my students with the best distance learning opportunities. The apps that I will be able to load onto the iPad will help me to create online lessons that not only engage my students in distance learning but face to face personal contact with them while not in my classroom. The best way to teach kids with Autism is through hands-on activities. With the iPad I will be able to perform labs that students will be able to see in real time and still be able to encourage in depth questioning of the world around them. My goal for each of my students is to learn to explore and ask questions. Not being face to face with my students has made this goal hard to get across but with your help and these items I can provide the best while being away form them. Thank you for helping my students have the best distance learning I can provide!!
