This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching in a classroom with students of varying levels and needs can be challenging. This becomes increasingly more challenging when incorporating a technology-based blended learning environment geared towards preparing students to think critically in a growing future in technology. Students are required to work on digital devices (laptops, computers, or tablets) as well as traditional learning materials, and helping students to juggle both and stay on task is a goal I work to achieve daily.

By creating a mobile workstation, I could actively collaborate with students and help with class lessons, digital equipment, and digital programs.

This would allow me to work amongst the students instead of traveling back and forth from the teacher's desk to the front of the class. I also believe that my students will be more likely to request assistance with a mobile workstation since I will be working amongst them.

Using the rolling table, I can travel amongst the students and have everything needed to project in one-on-one discussions or small group instruction. I will use the battery so I will not be tethered to the front of the classroom to ensure my device is charged. I can use the portable monitors to display visual information to my students and the other monitor to seamlessly transition from activity to activity or pull up necessary class programs to help students troubleshoot on their devices. The electrical cord wraps will help manage cords so that it won't be a tripping hazard.

A mobile workstation will help me serve students by allowing me to be within arms' reach and support students reluctant to ask for help.
