My Project

These materials will help create an environment in my classroom that fosters creativity but also functions as a calm space to learn and grow in. A few years ago our building had an addition onto the existing building. Because of that addition our classroom lost all of its windows and is completely closed in by brick.

These materials would help give our completely closed in classroom a boost in creating an environment that will help students feel comfortable, safe, happy and calm in the room.

When students feel calm in their environment with the help of items like lamps and sensory tiles, they will be more receptive to learning and better equipped mentally to process information.
