My Students

The students of our school are a cohort of diverse, intelligent, and hardworking students from around the New York City Metropolitan area. Our school is a selective, public, college preparatory school with a focus on science, math, technology, and engineering that provides a challenging academic experience. It prepares students for careers in science, math, and engineering.

My classroom is not only a place of challenge and discovery, but also a place where students come to de-stress and learn everyday life skills.

Inside and out of the classroom, my students are inquisitive learners, never afraid to ask how our world works. They are also from very diverse backgrounds and come to school with various experiences that further deepen our classroom learning.

My Project

This project is about educating students and faculty on embracing diversity and inclusion. The resources in this project include texts that support all of the above and encourage an open-mind! Additionally, this project will provide a wealth of resources for students and teachers to learn tolerance with an emphasis on restorative practices, anti-bias, and social justice.

The resources being requested will help teachers and students understand the importance of identity, diversity, justice and action.

While these are sensitive issues, addressing them as a community and with an open mind will help bring us closer to being more tolerant and accepting of our differences. As we are a community educating the future leaders of our society and possess the future leaders of our society, we all need to have a better understanding of these concepts and taking part in helping to eliminate racism and injustices.
