My Students

On a typical school day, my students work in a variety of subject areas. Technology integration is one of the most important elements to ensure the success of my students. Students having what they need to succeed, and stay on top is key.

My students are a wonderful, active, hands-on group of individuals.

Every day, my students work together to help one another out with problem-solving and learning. My school is located in an area that is a mix of middle and low-income households. My students do not let their limitations at home hold them back at school. When they are at school, my students are actively involved in taking control of their day and their learning. They sing, they laugh, and they look out for each other.

My Project

By utilizing a magnetic dry erase easel during our Daily Reader's and Writer's workshops, my students will be able to participate in these lessons actively. Being able to use an easel such as this will allow my students a visual representation in addition to an audible version of a given activity. Instead of simply telling students about an idea or concept, I can show them by using the easel. Allowing students multiple ways to access information will help to unlock their learning potential and enhance student participation!

This tool will also allow my students to take turns sharing and demonstrating what they are learning with their peers.

Having the ability to show what one knows can be incredibly empowering for a student. This easel will help to boost the confidence of my entire class because everyone will have access to it on a daily basis.
