This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach first graders in North Philadelphia. This is a low socioeconomic region of the city. These families and children are faced with daily struggles that make it difficult to even arrive at school each day. However, through perseverance, they show up to school ready to learn.
My students love to work hands-on and with technology to enhance their learning.
My students are fun, creative, eager, loving and full of curiosity! My students deserve the best.
My Project
All of the students at our elementary school use iReady to enhance their learning. This is an individualized, differentiated instructional resource. Since the program is individualized, each student has their own activities and set of directions.
These headphones would assist by eliminating the noisy distraction of other students' computers.
With these headphones, the students would be able to learn and practice fundamental skills with limited disruptions. This would enhance their learning greatly!
This project gives my students a chance to focus on their assignments and, in turn, enriches their learning experience. I have seen the positive effects this program can have on the students!
