Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Most of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes and they eat free or reduced-price school lunch meals on a daily basis. I know that music education is making them better human beings and well-rounded citizens of our country. As well, music is improving their test scores on state mandated tests. My students love band so very much; so much, that the band hall is their second home. Not just their second home, but also their second family. They are always looking out for each other in any way possible. They know that it is an honor to be a musician in our band program, and they take it very seriously. So, even though we may not have the best equipment for learning music, they will always try their best.
My Project
I am requesting a classroom set of Ensemble Concept Books for my concert band. These books are designed to help intermediate to advanced level ensembles acquire solid performance skills while also developing overall musicianship.
This is the perfect tool in developing the skills needed to read, rehearse, and perform band repertoire with precision and artistry.
Every aspect of ensemble development is introduced individually, in developmental order, then combined for more advanced practice. The exercises will fit easily into our warm-up routine, saving us precious rehearsal time. Using proven methods for superior sound production and ensemble technique, these books will transform printed notes into a meaningful musical experience for my students.
