My Project

COVID-19 impacted the students and their families in way that no one expected. As a first grade teacher, I see the importance of not only teaching the academic subjects, but also teaching character values, social emotional learning, and building those positive relationships with my students and their families. Please help me give my students experiences through some special projects.

1.

Personalized Canvas Pouches - The students will use acrylic markers to design their own canvas pouch drawing/writing things they love

2. Happy Birthday Wishes - The class will have a birthday chart to remember everyone's birthday. Every student will receive a plastic pouch filled with birthday things (ie. wand, stickers, fidgets) on their special day.

3. Engineering Science Lessons - Students need colored paper, card stock, construction paper, variety of adhesive tapes, and clipboards to design and build their projects for these lessons.

4. Memory Book Binders - Every student will receive a binder at the end of the school year filled with their academic and nonacademic work samples from their entire first grade year. The work samples are done on colored paper, card stock, construction paper, and a hole puncher is needed to insert the work samples. The 2 gallon ziploc bags are used to send the memory books home in.

5. Pocket Chart Lessons - Students need an array of pocket charts and name plates to display visuals for their academic activities. The magnet and adhesive hooks are needed to hang the pocket charts.

My students also need some replacement school supplies like dry erase markers, correction tape, and tissue. Please help bring my projects to life for my little first graders!
