This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Accessibility is not always something students have. Some students have Chromebooks, others do not.

The Chromebooks don't always work.

This unfortunate reality is creeping up on our students. As the free connectivity program comes to an end, students will no longer have the ability to request technology. This means that our students will no longer have access to their own computers. The class sets that we have are not always functional.

My goal is to provide students with access to a fully functional online tool that will last us years to come! I plan to give students assessments in preparation for the state test, but in order to do so, they need functional technology. If I pull students to practice with this iPad Pro during small group instruction, this will allow the students to gain the experience that they need in order to be successful test takers. The truth is, we are moving towards a technology based education, yet cannot provide technology to all of our students. This technology will come close to helping us close that gap!

Additionally, running clubs at our school will require us to have access to different tools. This one will help us digitalize some of our designs and create resources for our school!
