Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After 7 years of being a paraprofessional, I am transitioning into becoming a classroom teacher. A few of my current 5th graders are students I have worked with since they were in Kindergarten, which inspire me to continue my education in being an educator. My students come from a low income community with little to no resources.

My students are very motivated, eager to learn and are capable of becoming the best that they can be with better tools and resources.

They all have different learning styles and unique academic strengths. Having access to better materials will enhance my teaching craft, which will be very helpful for my students. It's such a pleasure contributing to their future success.

My Project

I have been a paraprofessional of 7 years, and I am now becoming a teacher to the same group of students that I've been assisting over the years. This has inspired me to continue my education in being an educator. I am requesting an Apple laptop, to enhance my professional skills in order to better educate my students.

Gaining better materials will reinforce my teaching expertise, which will be highly effective for my students.

An Apple laptop will be beneficial for both in-house and remote teaching, giving me the opportunity to learn new programs to enable me to meet the needs of my students. I will be able to watch videos to enhance my learning on better math strategies, guided reading groups, different learning styles and even social emotional learning.

I will also be able to use this laptop to continue my education as well. Thank you in advance for considering my proposal.
