My Students

We Love Technology

My students are in need of a tablet to promote literacy skills and quench their thirst for technology-driven learning.

“What a computer is to me is the most remarkable tool that we have ever come up with. It’s the equivalent of a bicycle for our minds.” -Steve Jobs. Exercising the minds of my 21st century fourth graders is a challenging endeavor when technology is scarce.

I have seen my students engaged in their learning when using technology in the classroom whether it be the smart-board or a basic computer. I know that if I'm able to supply them with an iPad their engagement and participation will increase greatly.

My Project

An iPad and the added accessories is necessary in the classroom to keep up with the new technology that leads the way to a child's learning. Students will be able to play educational games, use specific programs that are geared to their learning styles and the teacher will be able to monitor student progress as well as assign appropriate assignments on specific student levels.

Using technology in the classroom is proven to keep children engaged in learning that is linked to the appropriate standards necessary to ensure children are learning what is necessary at their academic level.
