My Project

My amazing fourth graders come to school each day, ready to learn, despite the challenges many face in their daily lives. As a full Title I school, many of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Although the pandemic may have ended, many students are struggling with gaps in their learning. Children today are digital learners and whereas in the past, technology was a fun, engaging way for students to learn, it has become a necessity in the post-pandemic world as students have spent the past few years learning through the integration of technology.

A new iPad will allow me to move about the classroom while displaying notes, examples, practice problems, slides, etc from my iPad to the big screen in my classroom.

It would also allow me to hand off the iPad to students and they could show their work, solve example problems, etc. I could also use the camera to take photos of students' written work which could then be displayed on the screen and could be edited whole-class. Using an iPad, an Apple Pencil, and a big screen to project the iPad, I could create a digital whiteboard equivalent for my students at a much lower price.
