My Project

Our school used the curriculum, Amplify for our reading curriculum. In sixth grade, we cover a variety of topics; Roald Dahl/ Narratives, Chocolate Collection, Greek Mythology, Summer of Mariposas, and Titanic. The variety of topics are great for meeting many student interests, but I don’t have many opportunities for students to continue their curiosity offline.

These materials would provide some enrichment opportunities for students throughout the unit, or after.

The majority of the materials enrich through reading, but there are some that would help more hands on learning. The Greek photo props would enhance the play the students do, the butterfly art and science butterfly kit goes with our novel unit. Either way, I think students would enjoy these enhancements to our curriculum and their interests!
