My Project

Imagine sitting in a classroom all day long and not being able to understand anything anyone is saying. Also imagine sitting next to someone in class who you really want to be friends with, but you don't speak their language and they don't speak yours......so you just don't talk and never get to become friends.

Now imagine a classroom with bilingual books that teach both friends (amigos) how to say words in both languages.

The books in this project will allow students to read together; side by side, in both English and Spanish. They will teach students the vocabulary they need to communicate and become real friends who can truly understand one another. Students in both languages will benefit by learning a new language while practicing their native language. These books are essential to building language skills while building friendships.
