America's Game-Baseball!

My students need new catching equipment and batting helmets to be safe! Safety and fun are the highest priority at this level of play.

My Students

There is nothing more fun for young people than playing baseball and many fond memories are made by millions of people while playing America's game. I have been fortunate enough to coach middle school baseball for the past five years and spent time with some wonderful young people. This year was no exception and despite the cold, wet spring we played many games, had fun and even managed to win a few games.

During this time the older boys took on leadership roles, helped the new teammates and we had fun practices, exciting games and the parents enjoyed the baseball season as much as the boys did this year.

My Project

The middle school baseball equipment has been around for quite a few years and features many hand-me-downs from the high school program. Many times the players had to bring their own equipment and as you can see from the team picture, a blue team needs blue equipment, green catcher gear works but is not professional!

New helmets will ensure safety for the boys and be used for years to come.

The catcher's gear will replace oversized equipment that the boys use and struggle to wear effectively. These two items are the most important for any baseball team. The bat is a nice bonus!
