My Project

My students are amazing little learners who are learning to become good citizens and what makes them special. We are asking for books that will help us to see how to use the good characteristics that we have inside of each of us. It is very important that my young scholars see themselves as unique individuals who have so much to offer because of their amazing characteristics.

A is for Amazing, Black History month in our classroom will look a little different this year.

The Natural Museum of African American History and Culture has provided many resources and activities to use with early learners that not only focus on African American and Black History but also dives into helping students see amazing characteristics within each of them. I want to be able to provide my students and our classroom with the books and resources that the Natural Museum offers.

It is very important to me that my students are able to see the characteristics that is inside of them. I believe that these books will help provided examples of the various characteristics that make for a great person. The read alouds that will occur using the books will help initiate talk and engagement about having and showing positive characteristics.
