My Students

Help us succeed in math! Math is everywhere in the world!

My fourth grade class is made up of 32 mixed ability students.

Many of the students in my class are English as a second language learners. They are hardworking and eager to learn new things. My school is a Title One school and all of our students get free breakfast and lunch. We have over 40 languages spoken in our school.

My Project

My class needs white boards to use during math. We will practice quick facts, show our work and share our answers with others. Dry erase boards and erasers are a quick way for my students to share their answers with me and for me to be able to evaluate what they know immediately. Dry erase boards also allow for my students to share their answers and work with each other while working in the meeting area. My students love working on their dry erase boards and it helps to build excitement about math. We also will use the magnetic lined paper to show our work during math and share it with the class. It will provide an organized place and way of showing how we completed each of our word problems daily. Math is important to my students future success.
