My Project

I am requesting graphic novels in Spanish, including books by Raina Telgemeier--very popular books in 5th grade. Many of my students' home language is Spanish and they are eager to read Spanish books; other students are learning Spanish as their second or third language and they will benefit from these engaging books. Staying excited about reading takes books! As the classroom teacher, I want to provide students access to books that are diverse and engaging. My students will love to read these high-interest books in Spanish. I've also asked for two books in multiple copies that we will be reading aloud as a class: Esperanza Rising and Front Desk, both books are about the immigrant experience and resilience.

We read every day.
