My Students

I have a diverse group of students from many cultural backgrounds.

We are a Title I school and have many students from low-income households.

Students are from various ethnic backgrounds and speak many different languages. I will be servicing general education, self-contained special education and ICT classes, from Pre K - grade 5.

My Project

Art helps students have the opportunity to learn through hands-on, creative experiences. Having access to different types of mediums such as watercolor crayons, watercolor pencils, watercolor sets, tempera paint cakes, and kwik stix will allow my k-5 grade students the chance to explore different materials in new and creative ways.

Expressing creativity through art is a wonderful way to learn new skills and develop fine motor muscles.

Art also provides children with opportunities to communicate how they are feeling. I believe art education is crucial during the early years of school as it allows children to learn critical skills needed for development.
