Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Creating art is calm and relaxing. The students at my school finally have an art program. They need quality art materials to help develop their artistic confidence and abilities.

My students attend a Kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school.

Our school is ethnically diverse with a large English Language Learner population. Approximately 70% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. This is the first year that the current students have an art program. They are excited and eager to experience art at school.

My Project

Creating art is an experience every child should have at school. Children should have the opportunity to develop confidence in their artistic abilities. My students will learn to appreciate art. They will understand that there are no mistakes in art. Most importantly, they will unleash their inner artist. My students will use paint, pastels and crayons to create beautiful works of art. We will be able to create many art projects and display their work around the school.

The students at my school will learn about artists and the art they created.

This will help them to expand their horizons outside of the traditional 3 R's. In order to achieve this goal, we need quality art supplies to allow the students to experiment. Your donations will help many children develop academically, socially and artistically.
