Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I will be starting my 3rd year of teaching. Last year, I moved to fifth grade from fourth grade! I work with an awesome group of thirty kids. I am looking forward to being back in the classroom as we return from a year of distance learning due to the pandemic!

I love teaching this group of students because they are hard working and try their best to further their understanding.

They are always working to demonstrate a growth mindset and to be kind. I enjoy seeing them demonstrate and apply their understanding to everyday tasks. Watching them learn and grow every day is so rewarding!

My Project

I have requested a class set of watercolors and brushes, and a gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers. It would be amazing for my students to have their own set of watercolor paints and brushes. The current supplies that I have are dried up, and we simply don't have enough for all.

With these supplies, my students will create art that will allow them to be creative and would in some cases, contribute to helping them feel more relaxed.

In addition, the gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers will allow me to purchase fun activities to reach students' interests.
