My Students

I teach amazing third graders in a Title I school in a low income neighborhood where their first language is not English. Most of the children live with their grandparents who can’t help them because they are not English speaking.

My Project

This September will be the start of a very different school year. The children will need to have their own supplies and won’t be allowed to share them due to the pandemic and the need for social distancing.

I’m trying to make the transition as easy as possible for the children by making sure that they have their own individual supplies and a place to keep those supplies safe.

For this reason, I would like the children to have their own pencil boxes to hold their writing supplies so they won’t get touched or lost. Please donate to this project to help my class feel more comfortable in this new world of social distancing.
