My students need their "love tanks" filled. I want to start a book club with the families of my little people to help equip them with the right tools in learning their child's love language.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my little ones come from low socio-economic environments where their quality of resources are limited. Sadly, our NYC department of education also seems to have less yearly funding to help teachers sustain the needed supplies for higher education. Our little ones have many unhealthy external factors that deter them from getting the fair and well deserved education that each child should be able to earn. Urban areas are highly populated, have noise pollution, lack of healthy food choices, crowded local transportation, high rates of broken families, increased crime rates, domestic violence and the list seems to go on.
In the midst of all of these horrific issues, are beautiful and talented little ones ready to become the next teachers, doctors, lawyers and Presidents one day if they would only get their educational and emotional needs met.
My Project
I would love to start a family book club with "The Five Love Languages for Children," along with the children's read aloud "A Perfect Pet For Peyton."
This book helps families understand that every child has a unique love language that they speak.
When families understand this, they will be better equipped to fill their child's love tank and they will flourish.
This book also includes rich stories of children with various love languages whether their love language is quality time, words of affirmation, services, physical touch or gifts and what an impact it had on them when they were understood according to their love language.
Come join me in equipping families through this project!
