This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The chairs that I have requested are colorful desk chairs that will be used during small group time. Students love to sit in my teacher's chair because it makes them feel more grown-up. I have noticed that when a student sits in the desk chair, they naturally assume a leadership role when they are working in a small independent group.
If all students in a small group have their own desk chairs, this will elevate the learning experience and show students that they are ready to become more independent learners.
