My Project

I have an amazing group of students who would benefit from some alternative seating options. Middle schoolers have a lot of energy, and when they get fidgety they want to stand up, which disrupts learning for themselves and the students around them. By giving them an alternative option for their seating, they will have something that will allow them to move while they are sitting down and they won't need to get out of their seats to get out some of that energy.

This will help all my students feel comfortable and valued in our classroom.

By having this option, the students will be able to feel like they won a prize on the days that they get to use it, and they will want to engage and work hard to keep their reward, or to earn it for a different day. Students are all unique, and not every student in comfortable in the normal desk chairs. Overall this will greatly benefit all my middle school students, who are full of energy, focus on the task at hand and channel that energy in a productive manner.
