My Students

Help students make our world a better place! Help my students realize that the cheapest energy is will be most beneficial to our world.

To help my students better understand how we can use renewable resources in a fun and engaging way that will impact our future.

The K'NEX Renewable Energy kits will give my students a chance to create realistic models and allow students to compare and contrast the power and efficiency of three different energy sources. My students will get an opportunity to see how solar, wind and hydro power function and can be used in our daily lives. By the end of this project, I would like my students to realize that being renewable energy is not fad, it is here for life. It is a way to protect our environment by using the energy that the earth provides naturally.

My Project

These resources will change the lives of my students by allowing them to see how renewable energy is produced and used. After my students learn about alternative energy options they will build a model to share with the class. The models will help students understand the benefits of solar, wind and hydro powered energy. The K'NEX sets will also allow my students to learn about energy storage, force motion, work, power, conservation of energy, kinetic and potential energy along with many other topic that relate to alternative energy.

This project will have a very big impact on my students that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

This generation of children need to learn the benefits of alternative energy because it will become the norm during their lifetime. I feel like the power to have a hands on experience building models and comparing the efficiency and power capabilities of each machine, seeing how these power sources are environmentally friendly while being equally as proficient is very important.
