My Students

My students this year are a diverse group of learners from the surrounding Brooklyn community. Each day students are faced with new struggles, and it is my job to help them overcome their fears and doubts, and foster confidence in their learning as well as themselves. I want nothing but the best for my students, and I feel that a comfortable learning environment consisting of alternative seating, and sensory awareness tools will help them achieve their goals and create a mindful environment.

My Project

In our school, we have many different types of learners. Each student learns and grows in their own individual way. As, teachers, it is important that we are able to meet the needs of all of our students each year. In order for teachers to do so we need the necessary tools and instruments in our classrooms. My students are in need of lap desks, a quiet reading corner, fidget toys, sensory tools, and weighted blankets to help make our classroom environment a comfortable and positive learning environment for all of their individual needs.

The materials that were requested on here are to help my students feel safe, calm, confident and comfortable by providing them them these alternate seating options for learning in order to achieve greatness in their academics.

These resources will allow my students to choose the way they feel most comfortable to succeed.
