Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Alpha Reading is a project that will focus on building the reading skills of our students with disabilities. It will help them to gain confidence in the classroom and build on their fundamentals of reading. We need new bins for that.

The reading nooks will provide a comfortable and calming space for them to want to read, it will promote learning and positive experiences.

Improved reading skills will have a positive impact on classroom performance. All students will be able to work collaboratively in groups and become empowered to explore reading on their own.

Reading nooks are not as common in middle school but we believe it will encourage the students to read more and provide a comfortable, calming space for them. The floor cushions for seating will allow the students to have a choice in where they can read independently.
